Days 16 and 17: Floors and walls

This weekend, we managed to pick paint colors for three bedrooms, and a floor for the living room.

We ended up buying a 3" wide, 3/4" thick, natural colored oak floor by a company called Masters' Choice. The local Home Depot was having some kind of promotion this weekend where we could get 20% off of any wood flooring. Woo hoo! Thank goodness for sales, or we might have continued to agonize for weeks.

Then, after a 12-hour meet on Sunday, I came home to a very pleasant suprise:


Thom had ripped out the yucky green carpet (see yesterday's photo) and started to take out the underlayment (shown on left) and got down to the subfloor in parts of the room (shown on right).

More info on the bedroom colors tomorrow, when I can remember all the color names!
