Before photos: Bedrooms

Bedroom #1: Green
The previous owners were using this as their master bedroom. It's the only one in the house with two closets. However, it is also right off the kitchen.

We are going to set this up as Danielle's craft room (yay!), and probably also put a twin bed in the room for overnight guests.

We like the color, so we will probably not paint this one. The previous owners also left us some white tab-top curtains, which are very nice, so we'll leave those too.



Bedroom #2: Yellow
This is the bedroom at the far front corner of the house. We will use it as our master bedroom. We're still trying to decide what color we want to paint it. We are considering yellow as a possibility, but we would probably still need to repaint.

There is only one closet in this room, but Thom doesn't mind taking another closet (one in the craft room, probably) in exchange for having a bedroom that is not right off the kitchen.


Bedroom #3: Khaki
This will be our guest room for now, and someday will be a kid's bedroom. We're debating whether to paint or to leave the room in this khaki color and repainting when/if it becomes a child's bedroom. Or, not repainting, but accessorizing with other colors.

If we paint now, we are thinking of something in the yellow-green-peachy color families, since they would be guest-room friendly as well as gender-neutral for any future kids.

Our current bedroom set (full size bed, one dresser with mirror, and one night stand) will go in this room.

The previous owners left us the queen size bed shown below, since it won't fit their new down-sized house. We will bring it into our bedroom and probably buy and stain 2 unfinished wood bureaus to match. Maybe this one or possibly this one.


Bedroom #4: Light lime-green
This is the smallest of the four bedrooms and will become our office. We currently have a big L-shaped desk that we hope will fit in the room. It will definitely fit one way or another, but it has a hutch on one part of the L, and we might need to take that off so that it doesn't block the window.

We're definitely painting this one, as the paint job has seen better days. Probably some kind of warm neutral, with off-white trim.

We're thinking of a sisal or seagrass rug to put down under the desk chair. I found these two on Overstock.com -- the prices are good, but we'd have to decide on what color border we want.
